Vestas is a prominent wind turbine manufacturing company with significant operations in the United States.

Vice President of Sales and Commercial Operations

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Vestas Americas Sales process from end-to-end including operating cadence, resource allocation and management, and deal prioritization.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of Sales Process including process definition, tools development, and change management
  • Manage pricing & proposal development activities for WTG sales including competitive analysis and product selection
  • Work with engineering, supply chain, procurement, construction, and transport to create most competitive equipment supply offering for each project
  • Direct team which conducts contract negotiation for Turbine Supply Agreements
  • Conduct WTG sales pipeline management and sales forecasting, enabling the organization to prioritize commercial opportunities and manage supply & demand
  • Supervises a group of sales staff, providing ongoing development and mentorship.
  • Communicate sales targets to team members, design strategy and business processes to meet sales goals
  • Responsible for escalation and attaining approvals for WTG supply deals
  • Manage Vestas Americas Sales Events

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, Post Graduate degree or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 year of experience in commercial aspects of energy industry
  • Minimum 5 years management experience coaching, developing and managing people

Competencies:
  • Ability to learn markets, develop a customer segment and market region
  • Effective negotiation and closing skills in sales transactions
  • Thorough understanding of the dynamics of the power generation and energy industry
  • Proficient in written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed customer relationship and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in stressful conditions and changing work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility with travel based on the overall company goals.
  • Displays high standards of ethical conduct. Exhibits professionalism and integrity.
