Your role and responsibilities:

Are you a dynamic and experienced professional with a passion for managing tradeshows, webinars, and industry events? We are looking for someone like you to join our team and help drive engagement and brand awareness. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in our Motion Drive Products Division in New Berlin, WI.

Position Overview:

As the Tradeshow and Events Manager, you will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications - Drive Products, US. This hybrid role (#LI - Hybrid) offers the perfect blend of remote and on-site work, allowing you to thrive in a flexible environment.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of tradeshows, including booth layout, logistics, staffing, and on-site management.
  • Develop and manage tradeshow budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing ROI.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align tradeshow strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and venues to secure the best terms and conditions.
  • Analyze post-event data and provide detailed reports on performance, attendee engagement, and areas for improvement
  • Plan and execute webinars, including topic selection, speaker coordination, and technical setup.
  • Develop promotional strategies to drive webinar registrations and attendance.
  • Manage relationships with trade media, customers, and public associations.


Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field AND 5+ years of experience in tradeshow management, event planning, marketing agency, or a similar role OR Associate's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field AND 7+ years of experience in tradeshow management, event planning, marketing agency, or a similar role OR High School Diploma / GED AND 9+ years of experience in tradeshow management, event planning, marketing agency or a similar role.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in event management software and webinar platforms.
  • Analytical thinker, problem solver, able to look at metrics, data and ROI.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and communication with Sales, Product Management, Third Party/Channel Partners and End Customers.
  • Ability to travel as required for trade shows and events.
  • Candidate must already possess a work authorization that would allow them to work for ABB in the United States.
