As a Sr Finance Systems Analyst here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial success of our company by providing expertise in financial systems and analysis. You will report directly to our Finance Systems Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial systems and processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with strategic priorities and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acting as the COO and financial adviser to the regional leadership team to align business decisions which enable performance to monthly, quarterly and FY financial commitments
- Lead the Management Operating System (MOS) to provide correct and efficient financial information for business decision.
- Execute financial strategies to achieve or exceed committed performance.
- Perform in-depth financial analytics to protect bottom line identify opportunities e.g.: cost productivities, Variable Contribution Margin (VCM) and Working Capital improvements
- Work closely, provide financial analysis and support to Operations, and Controlership
- Manage month closing activities including timely cutoff, SAP ledger for feeding into HFM for consolidation
- We support financial and SOX audit requests
- Lead, coordinate and ensure execution of month end and year-end financial closing processes within SAP, HFM, FDMEE and Digital Finance for the respective regions
- Work with other Corporate Finance System teams, Regional Finance Centers and Businesses to resolve closing issues such as interface postings error handling, cost center/profit center allocations, reconciliation of the multiple Finance modules: FI, CO, Reconciliation Ledger, PCA, COPA, etc.
- Continue to improve closing efficiency by evaluating, testing, and using better processes, tools, transactions, and reports
- Develop or enhance financial/business solutions; troubleshoot SAP production issues
- Work closely with cross functional ERP teams in support of SAP enhancements and deployments including execution of mock closings
- Work with the SBU finance teams and IT leadership to resolve functional and technical challenges
- Liaise with Corporate Finance regarding change of company policy, new initiatives such as new Chart of Accounts, fixed/variable costs reporting, etc.

YOU MUST HAVE
- 5 plus years of directly related Finance and Accounting experience
- 5 plus years SAP experience (FICO)
- MUST be a US Citizen due to US Government Contract Restrictions

- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

- Strong skills in information technology financial applications, particularly SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects, Tableau and Excel
- Financial analysis experience in a manufacturing / auditing environment is preferred but not required
- Solid understanding of business processes across SAP and how they impact data and processes in financial modules
