The position works globally, and scheduling flexibility is required to allow for regular meetings and connectivity with colleagues in the Americas, APAC, and EMEA time zones.

All GHR roles must comply with the location strategy of that region.

The successful candidate will be part of the Project Canyon team within Global HR (GHR) and undertake a 12-month assignment supporting the Global HR Operating Model Transformation as a member of the Offshoring workstream. The role will work closely with the Offshore Lead, as well as with Global Process Owners (GPOs), Global PMO (GHR), MUFG Global Services (MGS), Risk, Compliance, and GEO (Global Efficiency Office). Key responsibilities of the role include:

Serve as a project and documentation manager for GHR's Offshoring portfolio. Primary focus will be on facilitating the transition of GHR services and underlying processes to MGS, including developing and managing project plans and timelines, tracking progress, completing necessary documentation, managing reviews and approvals, and identifying and addressing risks and issue. Additionally, serve as a project and documentation manager for overall GHR data privacy guideline updates required to enable the GHR target operating model. Lead overall project management and provide guidance and oversight to a team of two in the completion of cross border, regional (Americas, APAC, and EMEA) data management privacy reviews and approvals for offshoring and global roles. Execute regional Third-Party Risk Management review and approval processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

It is expected that the successful candidate for the role will take ownership and responsibility for the following:

  • Lead project management for GHR's Offshoring portfolio, including developing and managing service transition project plans and timelines, tracking progress and approvals, and identifying and addressing risks and issues.
  • Partner with and support GPOs in the completion of all necessary paperwork and securing of approvals pertaining to the transition of GHR services and underlying processes to MGS.
  • Partner closely with Offshoring leadership and colleagues in Risk, Compliance, and MGS to execute. Specifically, the Project Manager will collaborate daily with and receive guidance from the Offshoring Lead on the management of the Offshoring portfolio.
  • The Project Manager will also work closely with the Global HR MGS Operations Manager, who is responsible for receiving the portfolio of transitioning Global HR services and ensuring that MGS operations and resourcing are in place to complete the successful transition of services. In addition, there will be close coordination with the Global PMO members for consultation and discussions on prioritization of outsourcing initiatives.
  • Serve as a project and documentation manager for the GHR data privacy guideline updates required to enable the GHR target operating model. Lead overall project management in the completion of cross border, regional (Americas, APAC, and EMEA) data management privacy reviews and approvals for offshoring and global roles.
  • Execute review and approval process for data privacy and Third-Party Risk Management documentation.
  • Utilise approved project management techniques to track progress against planned targets throughout the lifecycle of the projects.
  • Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources to meet objectives and deadlines. Perform quality reviews; escalate function-, quality-, and timeline-related issues to O&O and Project Canyon leadership as appropriate.
  • Take action to obtain resolution of critical risks and issues. Identify solutions to address project hurdles that threaten cost, schedule, or project scope. Escalate to Offshoring and Project Canyon leadership as appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver project management updates to Project Canyon leadership.

Provide feedback for process improvement, project enhancements, improved strategic alignment with key partners, and lessons learned.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential:
  • Extensive experience as a project manager
  • Excellent project management skills with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and the project management life cycle are required. A Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering project results, including efficiency gains and cost savings, within time and budgetary constraints.
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills; able to address and manage stakeholder needs while maintaining progress and achieving results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to develop and present deliverables to leadership.
  • Able to address, resolve, and simplify where possible complex problems and effectively prioritise competing objectives. The ability to negotiate and manage conflict is critical.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Functional / Technical Competencies:

Essential Demonstrable Strengths
  • Deep experience with project management fundamentals, strategies, and tactics
  • Experience project managing Offshoring initiatives is preferred, but not required.
  • Able to manage complex projects with many interdependencies.
  • Uses the full range of functionality of Microsoft Office applications - specifically MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Understands the HR function and HR Service Delivery

PERFORMANCE AND DUTIES

The role holder will be assessed in accordance with their employing entity's performance framework and process, with relevant input obtained from the dual-hatting entity as relevant.

As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and emended in consultation with the role holder. The role holder will carry out other duties as are within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the role as requested by their line manager or Department Head.

The compensation and benefits information in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside of the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits consistent with the local market.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $110,000 - $155,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
