Job Summary

If you are a supplier quality and performance engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity role for you! This position must ensure Supplier Performance of mix of quality, performance and evaluating new supplier by means audit during new product development with an effective coordination between internal functions.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Carries out supplier quality management system approval audits to highlight supplier risks within supply chain and work with suppliers to improve processes and procedures to meet the requirements of the audits.
• Sets Quality targets, monitors, reviews, analyzes supplier performance metrics to determine continuous improvement opportunities with suppliers on Quality but not limited to Process, Cost, and Productivity.
• Supports new product launches and risk mitigation projects to ensure that suppliers can deliver products/service at the required quality standards.
• Responsible for immediate action on problems caused by suppliers, identifying the root cause and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions to minimize the impact on the business.
• Coordinates efforts with other work groups and suppliers in understanding inspection methods/issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure guaranteed quality and short lead times for source changes, product transfers and new product implementation.
• Performs Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to qualify parts for New Product Development, New supply, and Quality issues.
• Collaborate on Supplier Performance Business Reviews with other Supply Chain functions to share expectations, strengthen relationships, and charter joint projects to deliver mutual benefits.
• Build suppliers' understanding of our technical and performance requirements
• Influence design engineers to optimize for Design for Sourcing & Manufacturability in New Product Development
• Ability to coordinate between suppliers and internal function in new product development through gate meeting review process to get desired results
• Prepare Technical Sourcing Review (TSR) for new part development and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the quality requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Minimum of 5+ years in supplier quality and performance management
• Excellent computer skills and a technical aptitude that includes strong data gathering skills, expertise, interpretation and reporting for supply chain organization.
• Sound communication skill to deal with suppliers (domestic and global)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in understanding the products and measuring equipment's like CMM, VMM and Projector etc.
• Solenoid valve industry background is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Diploma, B.E/B Tech or any Equivalent degree
• Knowledge in Quality standards and manufacturing process
• Ability to handle all inspection equipment's and demonstrate to supplier to align testing requirements
