Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our X-Ray Generation team of product and process design engineers. This role will oversee engineering operations, driving innovation and excellence in the development and production of X-Ray Generating Components.

These X-Ray Generating Components are vital organ components for a number of medical imaging products, including Computed Tomography and Interventional Guided Technology systems. These imaging systems play an important role in Oncology, Neurology and Cardiology care pathways, enabling early and precise diagnosis and therapy guidance. The components enable products that have everyday impact on the care of millions of patients as well as enablement of cutting-edge medical research. Job Description

This role is responsible for all engineering efforts across the spectrum of Field, Factory and Futures activities for X-Ray Generating Components. Specifically with respect to Futures, the leader guides the team responsible for delivering successful Advanced Technology Development (ATD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, meeting key deliverables, driving end to end execution of these programs, achieving product quality targets, and ensuring business continuity through Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Service. This leader will work with Imaging systems product teams and with manufacturing and sourcing to support customers and ensure manufacturing continuity, safety, quality, and cost. The role will implement best practices in engineering and manufacturing processes including the use of LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve engineering targets that enable overall business goals and objectives.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between sites and functions, including engineering, advanced manufacturing engineering, manufacturing operations, sourcing, quality, regulatory functions as well as product management, service operations and business leadership.

Product Design & Development:
  • Oversee the design and development of X-Ray Generating Components, ensuring products meet quality, performance, and cost targets.
  • Collaborate with product managers to define product roadmaps and timelines.
  • Drive innovation in product design and process / test development processes.

Manufacturing Process & Test Development:
  • Guide the development and optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of test procedures to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Project Management:
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and performance.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and cost reductions.
  • Implement best practices in engineering and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field); Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering management, with a focus on product design and manufacturing process development.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams and collaborating across multiple sites.
  • Strong knowledge of X-Ray Generating Components and related technologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate and grow teams.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, especially demonstrated ability in systematic problem solving of complex and Complicated problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementation of process sensitive manufacturing for the production of high-performance X-ray Generation Components or similar / related devices.

Skills:
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities (including Six Sigma methodologies).
  • Strong technical background in X-Ray Generating Components, including X-Ray Tubes and Generators, and related manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, global environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project, budget and people management.
