Job Description Summary

The Staff Risk Analyst - Artificial Intelligence (AI) will lead and assist with the development, modification, and analysis of new and existing systems utilizing AI capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for working with system developers and other stakeholders to ensure new capabilities are created and released in compliance with regulatory and business cyber security requirements, and industry best practices. This role will require you to partner with other technologists and leaders to help ensure project delivery per business needs and that processes are streamlined for efficiency.

Site Overview

Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.

Role Overview

In this role, you will:
• Work with business, Digital Technology, and Cyber Security teams to architect solutions utilizing AI technology in line with cyber security best practices and compliance with regulatory and business requirements.

• Stay current with industry developments in AI technology and lead/participate in evaluations of new tools, packages, and capabilities.

• Serve as a cyber security subject matter expert for AI technology, helping solve problems and answering questions from across the business.

• Participate in the development and enhancement of processes and metrics related to the deployment and operation of AI solutions ensuring delivery per business needs.

• Participate in the development and delivery of awareness and education related to AI technology and how it should/shouldn't be used.

• Define and execute Cybersecurity & Technology risk management program for GE Aerospace.

• Maintain the strategic roadmap for cybersecurity initiatives and measure program effectiveness in the region.
• Lead initiatives to advance company-wide services to help GE Aerospace prevent, detect and respond to security incidents.
• Provide regular program updates to the Regional CISO, CIO and other stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders including regional CIOs, and global IT security and compliance leaders.
• Work with legal counsel, HR, physical security and product engineering on IT security solutions.
• Aid in the development and enforcement of GE Aerospace policies & standards and assist technology teams with building security solutions.
• Define technology security requirements and communicate to system owners through effective security programs and training.
• Work with business IT teams to encourage a security mindset throughout business SDLC processes from concept, implementation and operations.
• Maintain documentation of the IT Risk program and any exceptions for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications/ Requirements

For roles outside USA:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience in IT and Cyber Security.
  • Master's degree in Business, Sciences or Information Technology
  • CISSP/CISM/CISA certification


Required Qualifications

• Strong technical background in information technology and cyber security including a familiarity with AI

• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems

• System architecture experience

• Application architecture experience in both cloud and on-prem environments including solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle

• Team focus including strong interpersonal and influence skills

• Ability to clearly communicate complex, technical issues orally and in writing

• Master's degree in Business, Sciences or Information Technology
• Prior experience working in a matrix environment
• Prior experience doing Lean or Six Sigma Process improvement work
• Prior experience working on developing and leading strategy definition
• CISSP/CISM/CISA certification
