Logistics Analyst

This position will provide logistics support to the IF/C-UAS Project Office's Distribution Center that is located in Huntsville, Alabama. Must be able to operate efficiently within all supply accountability systems. . Analyzes and provides recommendations concerning inventory of weapon systems, equipment configurations, equipment sustainment and equipment fieldings during all phases of a weapon system life cycle. Responsible for uploading procurement and acquisition information to the IUID registry, use of RFID technologies, updating and verifying configuration management, kitting and scheduling and coordination of shipments. Receives, checks in, and issues materials in support of acquisition, sustainment, construction and maintenance activities; maintains accountability of all types of Government property. Ensures proper planning, receipt, storage, and issue of all equipment and material and the control of project furnished small tools and third-party rentals as required. Reviews requisitions and work activities for accuracy and effectiveness within function. Perform moderately complex assignments and fulfills broad responsibilities where outcomes are defined, but methods and procedures may vary based on judgment or precedent. Has extensive experience in Microsoft Windows Office Systems and various Department of Defense inventory management databases which includes Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS). Individual may travel to support CONUS inventories at various sites as required. Individual will assist in managing and conducting daily, weekly, monthly, and semiannual physical inventories as directed by the Logistics Division Chief.

Daily duties will include but are not limited to, shipping and receiving equipment and materials, assisting the Government in maintaining full accountability of property, to include operating supply accountability systems (e.g., Catalog, Order and Logistics Tracking System (COLTS), performing equipment/parts accounting, materials processing, and equipment inventory/storage, work orders, modification work orders and requisitions. Will support New Equipment Fielding (NEF)and New Equipment Training (NET) schedules, monitor daily shipments, update tracking info, and provide updates on requisitions and equipment movement. Will provide daily status reports. May assist with equipment setup, troubleshoot minor IT issues with hardware, and assist with the loading and unloading of equipment from classrooms, cargo vehicles, aircraft, and storage containers. Work will primarily be performed in Government office facilities, warehouse facilities, military airfields, military weapon system test site, and equipment storage yards, in various weather conditions. Must be willing to work flexible hours. Some overtime will be required. Must be able to lift heavy equipment and stand long periods.

Years of Experience required:
  • HS Diploma and 5-7 years relative experience required, or BS Degree and 3-6 years of relevant experience required.

Desired Experience:
  • An active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Extensive experience with inventory management databases.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and must be able to obtain a military driver's license.
  • Able to operate various Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and heavy equipment in a safe manner around equipment and personnel. Must be able to lift heavy equipment, with some two-man carry requirements. Work will primarily be performed in Government warehouse facilities, military airfields, Government test sites, equipment storage yards, and office facilities, but some work may be performed in inclement weather conditions. May be required to travel to support Military test events at various locations and to perform equipment inventories.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Adobe Pro.
  • Experience in all aspects of government property management, which consists of, but not limited to procurement, maintenance, inventory, disposal, storage, transfer, site audits, custodial inventories, survey reports, and administrator of property required. Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS) experience required. A training certificate may be requested. Experience in any aspect of government property management, which consists of, but not limited to procurement, maintenance, inventory, disposal, storage, transfer, site audits, custodial inventories, survey reports, and administrator of property required.
  • Familiarity with loading and unloading cargo onto and off military aircraft.
  • Extensive experience with daily inventory management, shipping and receiving fundamentals. Candidate should also have experience with implementing IUID and RFID technology.
