The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our UAE Business Unit.

This Project aims to support the reduction of the current flaring at the Asset. This is a fast-track project and has schedule-oriented construction activities.

To Reduce Flaring at the Asset, the associated gas from CPF-1 will be primarily utilized. This involves treating gas from CPF-1 first stage and test separators at the early gas production facility and injecting it into the commercial gas network.

Additionally, condensate will be sent to CPF-1 for secondary utilization.

The scope of services includes FEED, detailed design, procurement support, and construction and commissioning assistance.

Key Objectives

• The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for carrying out all activity per COMPANY Supply Chain Code of Conduct, ensuring all statutory and legal requirements and applicable processes and procedures are complied with and all documents are filed accurately and fully auditable
• Responsible for supporting the objectives of the Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality Policy and Information Security Management Policy by adhering to applicable Procedures and Work Instructions while fulfilling duties
• Allocation, control, issue, and marshalling of materials between different work locations and suppliers per project requirements and schedule/vessel sailings
• Production of shipping documents for all materials movements
• Timely updating procurement systems with goods receipts/manifests/shipping documentation
• Management of Freight Forwarding and Import/Export and Customs control activities
• Be aware of and comply with the Shipping Execution Procedures
• Prepare and issue the specific Project Shipping Procedures as directed by the Project Procurement Manager and/or Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that lines of communication for the Project are established between the Shipping Team, Project Controls, Customs, Manager, Engineering, Procurement, Accounts, and Construction as required by the project shipping scope
• Review the Computerised Tracking System to reflect the requirements for recording each stage of the shipping operation
• In conjunction with the Project Controls Manager / Contract Engineers / snr Engineers, negotiate with Freight Forwarders for freight rates and get reductions for the project and circulate the resultant rates to all interested parties, whenever required. Maintain a register of changes in freight rates and surcharges and circulate the same, as necessary
• If required, carry out a detailed shipping survey including route availability from port to Site, selection of import agent, meetings with Customs authorities, Transport authorities, and Treasury authorities, to establish all requirements in the country of destination, and the possibility of establishing bonded areas at Site
• For out-of-gauge loads, receive Expediting Reports from the Procurement Group and make Shipping arrangements accordingly
• Receive Discrepancy Reports and process claims against suppliers for faulty or short packing or against Shipping or Airline companies, carriers, and Insurance Companies
• Investigate all requirements in the country of destination for the importation of project materials, temporary import of equipment, and supply this information both at the proposal and project stages to all interested parties, keeping this information updated after the project award
• Maintain and file shipping documentation for information and auditing purposes
• Ensure all Supply Chain activities are carried out per the project execution plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy, within approved budgets, and in line with project processes and procedures
• Update the Project ERM and Freight Forwarding Tracker in line with project/client required on-site dates and current / estimated lead and delivery times, notifying of any delays to supply chain management
• All other tasks as reasonably requested by line management
