JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently seeking a casual Logistics Support Coordinator with availability to start immediately, to join our team for the imminent Shutdown at Ampol, Lytton.

The role is full time for 4-5 months, with the potential opportunity for ongoing, intermittent work.

This is a Brisbane-based role, with local applicants preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a part of planning mobilisation and demobilisation scheduling
  • First point of contact for all incoming and outgoing freight movements for project infrastructure
  • Be responsible for unloading and loading plant & equipment, materials and other items needed for the project
  • Be responsible for establishing logistics infrastructure needed for the project (traffic management, containers, villages, stores etc.)
  • Supervise and monitor loading and unloading activities by third party drivers
  • Assist with current Village Improvement project with handyman duties and light construction activities
  • Support recovery of tools & equipment as the project reaches completion
  • Assist Warehouse Team with general warehouse duties when required
  • Be a part of lessons learned, future planning and other administration / scheduling activities.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Forklift and Drivers Licenses are mandatory
  • Construction Card is a requirement
  • Warehouse, Materials, Logistics, Civil or Facilities background is an advantage
  • Carpenter or construction trade qualifications also an advantage.

Experience
  • Construction, Mining, Energy or Industrial sites
  • Leading Hand or Supervision is not a necessity, but would be preferred
  • Multi-tasking with ability to monitor and coordinate multiple activities
  • Knowledge and experience with Freight COR (Chane of Responsibility) + loading & unloading
  • Experience following procedural documentation; permit to work systems and or regulated activities
  • An understanding of the significant safety-culture and knowledge required on large projects
  • IT Basic to Intermediate. MS Application suite - excel, word, email.
