Position Summary:
As the Vice President of Demand Generation, you will be a key member of the executive marketing leadership team, responsible for developing and executing CrashPlan's demand generation and digital marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, generate leads, and support sales growth. This role requires a strategic and results-oriented individual with a deep understanding of digital marketing channels, demand generation tactics, and account-based marketing (ABM) best practices.
This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record of building high-performing teams, delivering measurable results, and influencing at the executive level.

The base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $230,000. This position is eligible for a variable bonus plan based on assigned targets, in addition to a full range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, and more. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and the candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the global demand generation strategy to support aggressive growth targets across all customer segments and geographies.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CMO and executive team on pipeline health, marketing performance, and growth opportunities.
- Champion full-funnel marketing approach, integrating brand awareness, lead generation, and customer expansion strategies.
- Own the marketing-sourced and influenced pipeline targets, ensuring alignment with sales and revenue goals.
- Develop and optimize integrated campaigns across digital, content, events, and partner channels to drive qualified pipeline.
- Lead the evolution of ABM programs to deepen engagement with high-value accounts and accelerate deal velocity.
- Oversee the digital marketing ecosystem, including SEO/SEM, paid media, website strategy, and conversion rate optimization.
- Leverage data and analytics to continuously improve campaign performance, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and ROI.
- Evaluate and implement marketing technologies to enhance automation, personalization, and attribution.
- Partner with Product Marketing to ensure tight alignment on go-to-market strategy, messaging, and execution.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing demand generation team with a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Foster collaborative environment that encourages experimentation, agility, and data-driven decision making.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing demand generation.
- 8+ years of experience with ABM platforms, strategies, and tactics.
- 8+ years of experience with marketing automation tools and platforms.
- Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital marketing and demand generation campaigns.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Experience in the data backup and recovery industry is a plus.
