General ManagementEmerson is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Vice President of Enterprise Safety to build on our strong foundation of safety excellence and elevate our global safety culture. The Vice President of Enterprise Safety will partner closely with EHS professionals and business leaders across the organization to align and enhance safety programs, policies, and standard methodologies that support the ongoing health and safety of our global workforce. Success in this role will depend on the ability to connect teams, facilitate knowledge sharing, and develop a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Successful communication and thoughtful planning will be vital in crafting safety programs that resonate across Emerson's global, operational footprint. The ideal candidate is a unifying force, bringing people together to define, implement, and champion safety initiatives that reflect Emerson's commitment to protecting our people and empowering a world-class safety culture. This position can be based at one of our many corporate hubs in the US.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Champion a risk-based approach to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ensuring the safety and well-being of all Emerson employees and operations globally.
- Develop and drive enterprise-level safety programs, initiatives and execution strategies, securing executive leadership alignment and resource dedication.
- Provide enterprise-level leadership on health and safety matters, engaging with internal and external partners to craft and communicate Emerson's safety strategy.
- Analyze and interpret health and safety performance data to identify trends, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities, and communicate actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with business and world area safety leaders to align on and implement comprehensive, outstanding health and safety policies, processes, and procedures.
- Identify and implement innovative, efficient approaches to health and safety management, enabling cross-business knowledge sharing and continuous improvement globally.
- Establish benchmarking practices to measure Emerson's safety performance against industry leaders and use these insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate the review and approval processes for corporate-wide health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and fostering a culture of safety excellence.
- Advise the planning, execution, and resolution of third-party and internal risk assessment audits, ensuring adherence to industry standards and internal policies.
- Be responsible for the development, deployment, and effectiveness of internal safety training curriculums, ensuring optimal completion rates and alignment with performance objectives.
- Lead global safety compliance efforts by partnering with regional and business level EHS teams to align with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA)

For This Role, You Will Need:
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Science or other related fields
- Relevant management experience commensurate with the seniority and global scope of this role.
- Experience in project management and analytical decision making
- Willing to travel approximately 30% of the time
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- MBA
- 15+ years of managerial experience and 10+ years of broad, related experience in global environmental, health and safety project management
- Familiarity with operational environments and engaging employees in these settings
- Knowledge of Federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Ability to be a creative and progressive problem solver when it comes to safety culture and behavior change
