Do you see architecture as a way to make automation smarter and monitoring more scalable? As Automation Solution Architect at Vestas, you'll design and evolve solutions that support hundreds of thousands of devices - from enterprise networks to wind turbine systems. You'll work with a global DevOps team to improve automation quality and support users across the business with a platform that enables better outcomes, faster.

Our team provides monitoring and automation for the network within Vestas as well as the turbine parks we service, and we need your help to keep up with the growth. We strive to provide a platform for monitoring and automation which enables our users to provide more value with less effort, whether the users prefer E2E consultancy services or doing pull-requests. Our team is DevOps and based in both Denmark and the Philippines.

Responsibilities
  • You'll be driving the development and enhancement of the automation and asset management area doing designs and implementations for the long term
  • Work with end-users and customers to shape roadmaps and technical direction
  • Collaborate closely with the team to increase implementation quality and maturity
  • Ensure architecture information is well documented, up-to-date, and communicated to the relevant stakeholders
  • Translate customer needs into practical, scalable technical solutions
  • Cooperate with fellow architects to deliver the best solution as a team


Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or similar
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development, primarily with Python, and secondarily with PHP (Laravel)
  • Experience in software development practices, including requirements gathering, agile
  • Knowledge within software development on the topics: requirements, agile methods (SCRUM, SAFe, DevOps, etc.) and solution design
  • Experience with developing cloud-native applications and modern automation approaches

  • Detail-oriented, with clear and confident communication skills
  • Curious by nature - willing to ask questions and dig deep to understand problems

  • Analytical mindset with a hands-on attitude toward solving complex challenges
  • Proactive, self-driven, and eager to take ownership
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Additional information

The position is based in Aarhus, Denmark. To make this work effectively, you can be located anywhere in Denmark, as long as you're able to travel to Aarhus on a monthly basis. Please note that we do not offer relocation support for this position, so you'll need to reside in Denmark at the time of application.
