*Project Manager (Marine Civil Works) - J1548
Location: Qatar | Project: LNG Berth 2 Upgrade
Role Summary
The Project Manager will oversee the full project lifecycle of the LNG Berth 2 Upgrade Project ensuring the timely and cost-effective execution of marine civil works, including structural reinforcement, tie-back system installation, seabed excavation and marine coordination. The role requires strong leadership, client interface management (with QatarEnergy and RLIC), technical oversight and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Marine Engineering or related field.
15+ years of experience in managing marine construction or EPC projects, preferably in oil & gas port facilities.
Proven track record of working with Qatari regulatory bodies (e.g., QatarEnergy, RLIC).
Experience in managing subcontractors, marine vessels and barge-based operations.
Familiarity with bathymetric survey methods, fender systems, tie-back installations and precast concrete systems.
Skills Required
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Excellent project scheduling and risk management capabilities.
Deep understanding of marine construction methodologies and RLIC interface requirements.
Proficiency in Primavera and engineering documentation control.
Job Description
- Manage construction of mooring and berthing dolphin reinforcements, tie-back system and installation of parallel motion fenders.
Oversee bathymetric survey and seabed dredging works.
Serve as the primary interface with RLIC, QatarEnergy and Other regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance with RLIC's permit and marine unit approval processes (e.g., SOEF vetting, spud barge approvals, vessel suitability).
Coordinate with shipping agents and subcontractors for marine logistics.
Lead multidisciplinary site and engineering teams, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
Monitor contractor and vendor performance including fabrication and installation of tie-back systems and fenders.
Track project deliverables and ensure milestone targets such as PQD approvals, shop drawing submissions and method statements are met on time.
Proactively identify and mitigate potential schedule risks including delays from approval processes, port traffic and weather constraints.
Ensure project activities are aligned with approved HSE plans and QP safety requirements.
Oversee quality control for civil and marine works including concrete repairs, tie-back system alignment and platform installations.
Ensure all method statements, technical documents and shop drawings are prepared, submitted and approved per schedule.
Provide regular progress reports and escalate critical issues to senior management.
