This Position reports to:
Production Manager
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the production in the Smart Power manufacturing unit in Västerås, with full accountability of running the day-to-day operations as well as creating and implementing plans to establish the factory of the future.
In this role you will lead the organization in the transformation of parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner, developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to help the organization achieve the highest level of operational performance. You will be a part of the manufacturing unit management team and run your own management team for operations.

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the production in the Smart Power manufacturing unit in Västerås, with full accountability of running the day-to-day operations as well as creating and implementing plans to establish the factory of the future.
In this role you will lead the organization in the transformation of parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner, developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to help the organization achieve the highest level of operational performance. You will be a part of the manufacturing unit management team and run your own management team for operations.
- The main task in this role will be to lead all co-workers towards common goals and ensure that we constantly improve internal processes and tools. This will be achieved by your engaging leadership style that inspires a safe, positive and efficient work environment.
- You will lead a team of 9 line managers. This includes IPU-managers, production supervisors, maintenance manager, IS/IT, and production and product development.
- You will be responsible for the health and safety, delivery performance, quality and cost efficiency of the production.
- The Integrated Production Units will also be part of your scope, IPUs are cross-functional teams lead by IPU managers. The IPUs are accountable for the end-to-end delivery process of our products, focusing on operative KPIs and continuous improvements.
- Developing the production by increasing the level of automation and digitalization as well as reducing our environmental impact will be key for your success.

Qualifications for the Role
- Master of Science or other academic degree in a relevant field
- At least 5 years of experience from a managerial position within production or similar.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
- The ability to motivate and engage other people, and the skills required to make strategic decisions and run the daily operations
- Knowledge and practical experience of Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Knowledge of digitalization and automation of a production unit is a plus
- Fluency in English and Swedish is mandatory
