The Expert IT Project Management (Procurement) (m/f/d) plans, schedules, manages and tracks projects, teams and allocates resources (e.g. project plans, schedules, deliverables, budget) for application projects in his/her region. It is essential to act in a structured manner and to have excellent communications skills. A good understanding of technologies and architectures to proper manage these IT projects and international teams is required. This position is designed as a stepping stone toward Development Opportunity.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Manage IT projects according to Corporate IT's defined PM methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMI).
• Scope, plan, and manage projects through the entire life cycle, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality.
• Establish and maintain risk assessments to identify and mitigate material risks within your area of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regularly testing and certifying the adequacy and effectiveness of controls.
• Act as a role model for collaboration and decision-making, influencing project outcomes and team performance.
• Organize PMO activities and project reporting for projects in scope.
• Promote lean principles and continuous improvement through effective use of IT tools.
• Identify and evaluate project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate information flow across stakeholders, onsite and offshore teams, ensuring cross-functional and interdisciplinary cooperation.
• Take initiative in mentoring junior team members and supporting their development, preparing for future leadership responsibilities.

Show your expertise

• Relevant degree such as Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Project Management, or comparable experience.
• Proven experience in managing IT implementation or integration projects in the SAP ecosystem.
• Strong experience with project financials, including commercial and contractual aspects.
• Minimum 3+ years in a similar project management role with demonstrated leadership potential.
• Certifications in project management methods (e.g., PMP, PMI, Prince2).
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
• Strong understanding of SAP Ariba Upstream module and familiarity with SAP Business Partner concept.
• Hands-on experience or strong technical knowledge of integration between Ariba (Upstream) and S/4HANA Business Partner module.
• Expertise in resource allocation, monitoring and reporting, quality management, risk management, and time management.
• Solid knowledge of IT architecture (Microsoft, SAP, etc.).
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills with demonstrable leadership and managerial capabilities.
• Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
