CBEC is looking to hire a permanent, full-time senior project manager with 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally with experience in one or more of the disciplines listed below:
The successful candidate will be extremely well organised and excellent at managing multiple tasks.
Location: London base is preferred; however elsewhere in Southern England is also suitable, but this is secondary to finding the ideal candidate. The role will be hybrid with a mixture of home and office based work.
You will work alongside CBEC's Southern Team leader, to assist with the wider management of the Southern Team's projects, as well as managing your own projects. This requires someone with the ability to work effectively, both autonomously and as part of a larger team. Building strong relationships with the internal CBEC team as well as with our client base and external stakeholders will be essential for the role and therefore will require a candidate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
This person will manage and oversee CBEC projects primarily in England and Wales. They will coordinate day-to-day operation, oversee project teams, implement reviews and quality assurance procedures, mitigate project risk, lead and write tenders, and lend expertise.
Education to MSc level in a water resource/environmental management related discipline is preferred. The ideal candidate will ideally have an extensive knowledge of river management (specifically the theory and practice of river restoration and flood risk management), as well as an understanding of one or more of the following: fluvial geomorphology, aquatic/riparian ecology, fisheries science and hydrology/fluid dynamics.
We require an enthusiastic and versatile person who can also assist with fieldwork duties when required, lead the development of project proposals and contribute to company marketing.
CBEC offers an extremely flexible working environment, and work patterns can be adjusted to suit.
