Do you want to play a key role in accelerating the energy transition? RIFT is an R&D-driven startup working on the development of Iron Fuel Technology. With two Industrial Pilot Systems in Arnhem and Helmond, we test our technology at scale while simultaneously conducting research and development projects to further refine it, including the Iron Oxide R&D project. We are looking for a driven R&D Project Manager to strengthen our team in preparation for commercialization. As an R&D Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and successfully executing R&D projects within the set timelines, budget, and quality objectives. You will ensure smooth project execution and optimal use of all required resources.

R&D projects at RIFT consist of two components: Research and Development. The Research domain focuses on acquiring fundamental knowledge and developing models that form the basis of the technology. The Development domain emphasizes testing and optimizing the technology based on this fundamental knowledge. You will collaborate with engineers, operators, and external partners, such as test sites and suppliers, to evaluate the technology in practice. You will collect the necessary data and validate the technology to make it ready for scaling. By successfully completing projects, you will actively contribute to the further development of Iron Fuel Technology and the progression toward commercial applications.

What you'll do as a Project Manager R&D

• Coordinate R&D projects, integrating insights from pilot systems, with a focus on time, budget, and quality.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to manage them.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the R&D team.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting on project progress.
• Foster collaboration with internal teams and external partners to secure the necessary resources and capacity.
• Support the CTO in translating R&D strategy into actionable plans and execution.

• Hebt minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in projectmanagement, bij voorkeur in een technische of R&D-omgeving.
• Beschikt over ervaring met het beheren van (R&D-) projecten, inclusief budgettering en risicomanagement.
• Bent communicatief sterk en werkt effectief samen met interne en externe teams.
• Toont leiderschap en kunt zowel onafhankelijk als in teamverband resultaten boeken.
• Werkt gestructureerd om niet alleen de projecten efficiënt te coördineren, maar ook in het opbouwen van kennis.
• Beschikt over een hbo- of wo-diploma in een technische richting.
