Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager specializing in Data Centre Constructions to support our team on a freelance basis.

• Managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
• Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
• Managing project safety and environmental requirements.
• Managing project timelines, risks and reporting.
• Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track.
• Developing working relationships, problem solving and driving projects to successful completion.
• Drafting contract documents in strict accordance with legal approved contract templates.
• Working closely with project team/s to ensure effective and timely document processing and management of contract documents.

Qualifications

• Technical understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure - HVAC, Electrical, Generators, Fire, Security and BMS.
• Professional/tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or construction.
• A minimum of 5 - 10 years project management experience, gained within a Data Centre or similar technical environment.
• A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project inception stage, design, authority approvals through to construction completion and post-project review.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques.
• Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills.
• Registered Freelancer.
