Job Description
At a Glance...

Lead the establishment and development of a sustainable, high-quality processing tomato supply chain. This is a strategic initiative aimed at securing a reliable source of processing tomatoes and tomato paste for our global supply chain. The Sr Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of this complex project, coordinating global activities across diverse stakeholders including growers, processing partners, government entities, agronomists, and internal company functions.

What on the Menu?

The core objective is to set up and scale processing tomato production and sourcing. This involves:

• Identifying and developing relationships with suitable tomato growers.

• Establishing partnerships with third-party tomato paste processing facilities or evaluating the feasibility of dedicated processing.

• Ensuring adherence to quality, sustainability, and ethical sourcing standards.• Navigating the local regulatory environment and engagement with relevant

government bodies through government affairs.

• Integrating any existing KHC supply chain into the broader sourcing and manufacturing network.

Main ingredients
  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessment, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Facilitate Collaboration Across Boundaries: Act as the primary point of contact for the project and build strong working relationships with:
  • Agronomists & Technical Experts: Collaborate to implement best-practice cultivation techniques, pest management, and quality improvement programs.
  • Operations: Collaborate to identify and implement processing capacity and capabilities, both internally and externally, as well as integration with the company's global network design.
  • Additional Internal Teams: Coordinate effectively with internal departments such as Procurement, Quality Assurance, Operations, R&D, Legal, Finance, and Sustainability.
  • Growers: Support identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and managing relationships with tomato growers in close collaboration with the agriculture team. Facilitate training in the best agricultural practices and company standards.
  • Processing Suppliers: Support identifying, evaluating, and managing relationships with tomato paste manufacturers in close collaboration with procurement teams.
  • Government Affairs: Collaborate with Government Affairs and Legal teams to ensure compliance with permits, regulations, agricultural policies, and identify potential incentives.
  • Relevant stakeholders not explicitly mentioned: Collaborate across boundaries with all teams and entities internally and externally as required to successfully deliver the project's objectives.
  • Supply Chain Development: Design and implement sourcing models, logistics, and quality control processes for the farm-to-processor pipeline.

  • Budget & Resource Management: Oversee the project budget, track expenditures, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular, clear, and concise project updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure all activities comply with local laws, regulations, and internal policies, including sustainability and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Problem Solving: Address challenges and roadblocks effectively as they arise throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of proven project management experience, successfully delivering complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Highly preferred: Demonstrable experience and strong technical understanding of the processing tomato industry, including supply chain dynamics, and paste processing.
  • Experience working within the agricultural sector in foreign region is highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects involving external partners (suppliers, government) and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working for or closely with large multinational corporations, understanding corporate structures and reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with agricultural contracts, cost modelling and supplier negotiations.

  • Mandatory: Fluency in English.
  • Significant foreign travel will be required to visit farms, processing facilities, and meet with stakeholders.
