We are looking for a for a highly organised and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Mount Pleasant Complex in the Falkland Islands. This role is essential in supporting the successful delivery of construction and refurbishment projects that directly contribute to UK Armed Forces operations.

Yo ur Role
- Assisting in coordinating larger construction projects while leading smaller tasks independently. Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to meet deadlines and specifications.
- Maintaining accurate project records including contracts, drawings, schedules, and health & safety documentation.
- Supporting the development and tracking of project timelines, identifying delays and helping resolve issues.
- Facilitating clear communication between stakeholders and provide regular updates on project status.
- Supporting the implementation of health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and internal standards.
- Assisting with reporting, progress tracking, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Helping identify and resolve project challenges, escalating issues when necessary.
- Ensuring all work meets required standards and complies with regulations and building codes.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in a project coordination or administrative role within construction, facilities management, or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation or willingness to learn through training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project) and project management tools such as Maximo.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and CDM requirements (desirable) or willingness to learn.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Studying towards a qualification in construction management or a related field (e.g. NVQ, HNC, HND, or degree) is preferred but not essential.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to professional development.
