General ManagementWe are looking for an IT Technical Project Manager to join our team on a permanent full time basis, working 40 hours per week. Reporting in to the Head of Business Relationship Management, you will be instrumental in leading the successful delivery of critical internal IT technical projects across our diverse businesses, including those operating within the prison environment. This role is ideal for a highly structured and disciplined team player with a broad technical skillset and exceptional customer-facing abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on the delivery of internal technical IT projects
- Have or gain an understanding of key G4S businesses and systems, including prisons
- Work with customers to define the scope of projects or tasks
- Plan timescales, costs and th eresources needed
- Liaise with staff at all levels of the organisation
- Define software, hardware and network requirements with the assistance of IT architects and technical team members
- Liaise with other IT teams on proposed solutions
- Prioritise tasks and resources to achieve delivery
- Develop agreed solutions and implement new, or extend, existing systems
- Present solutions in written or oral reports
- Help customers with change management activities
- Prepare documentation and present progress reports to customers
- Travel to customer sites
- Be responsible for internal and external project reporting
- Manage delivery of projects / tasks through temporary / disparate projects teams
Essential skills:
- A broad range of technical knowledge
- Good client facing and communication skills
- High level understanding and experience of systems platforms and hosting, including cloud
- High level understanding of networking and comms
- Structured, organised and disciplined
- Team player with integrity, openness and honesty
- Understanding of project management
Desirable skills:
- Understanding of G4S businesses, particularly prisons
- Existing SC security clearance
