Main tasks

The European Reference Network for Rare Liver Diseases (ERN RARE-LIVER, https://rare-liver.eu/), coordinated from the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), brings together over 60 member centres and clinics across Europe. The operational work of the network involves many organisational tasks in the administration, for which the project management team is looking for support with immediate effect. The position is financed by third-party funds and is initially limited to 2 years. A longer-term appointment to the position is envisaged.

As a project manager, you will support the multidisciplinary ERN RARE-LIVER project management team in close cooperation with the following tasks:

  • Coordination of the (partial) project to establish and continuously expand the EU reference network with all participating centres and clinics at EU level
  • Participation in the helpdesk for the network's eHealth service
  • Work with the project management team on the progression of the clinical registry
  • Organisation and moderation of project meetings (face-to-face and video conferences)
  • Contract management of new member centres
  • Supporting the grant management of the current funding period
  • Researching data from participating centres and preparing regular reports for the EU
  • Europe-wide travelling and representation of the network on site (not mandatory)

Your Profile

  • University degree in the life sciences, nursing sciences, business administration, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience and knowledge of project management, ideally within clinical research or EU-funded initiatives
  • Experience with clinical registries, health databases, or digital healthcare systems a strong advantage
  • Business fluent language skills in English, German language skills are helpful but not necessary
  • Coordination and organisational skills, ability to work in a team, intercultural social skills
  • Enjoyment of a versatile and varied range of activities
