About us:

Crane NXT requires a Senior IT Project Manager who will report to the Director of the IT Program Management Office. As part of the IT PMO, this role will be responsible all aspects of managing of a multi-phased project aimed at consolidating over seven legacy ERP environments onto a single global instance of SAP S4 Hana. Crane NXT is a fast-paced environment, where technology needs to run both smoothly and efficiently to deliver desired business outcomes. This role will follow a hybrid or remote working schedule based on the location of the candidate, and travel to global sites as required by project timelines.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans aligned with business requirements to drive desired outcomes.
  • Create project schedules that capture cross functional involvement and determine the best course of action to ensure project goals are met
  • Ensures that project guidelines are followed, and processes are complete
  • Responsible for project or process reporting, tracking and dashboards
  • Participate in design and sustaining projects as assigned
  • Support team in accomplishing key goals such as project completion, issue turnaround time, and elimination of design escapes
  • Ensures completion of activities within compliance, on budget and on-time
  • Communicate effectively with project sponsors, cross functional peers and development teams
  • Lead projects through the Crane NXT Toll Gate process
  • Utilize current methods, procedures, and processes to continuously improve the business through CBS (Crane NXT Business System)
  • Ability to access information using automated systems (e.g., windows-based computer); experience with spreadsheets (Excel preferred) and word processing (Word preferred); experience with SAP systems desired
  • Coordinate and communicate with external customers as appropriate as it relates to the project management deliverables for assigned projects.
  • May be responsible for operating within a budget
  • Under general supervision, within guidelines, has flexibility as to method, priority and timing of job duties
  • Calculate and budget project expenses and capital requirements; track and manage project spend to maintain budget expectations
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure proper use of project management templates encompassing all activities required to launch a new product into the marketplace. This includes participating in calls or meetings about the planning, progress updates and details of the delivery of assigned projects.
  • May provide input on budget allocation and prioritization
  • Provides input on project scale and timelines
  • Remains current in his/her field; publications, active involvement in continuing education (conferences, etc).
  • Work with internal teams (product, engineering, professional services as required) to facilitate and ensure that all professional services are appropriately specified and documented by said teams as part of the creation of the project plan including milestones, dates and owners.
  • Coordinate and communicate with external customers as appropriate as it relates to the project management deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Strong project leadership ability with cross-functional understanding and/or experience; knowledge of organization structure, culture and environment and the influence of these on a project (ability to identify Enterprise Environment Factors - EEFs, and Organizational Process Assets - OPAs)
  • Experience working with stakeholder requirements and effectively managing the expectations of stakeholders
  • Work closely with 3 rd party System Integrator Project Managers to ensure on time execution of project deliverables.
  • Track and report the overall progress of projects or program, including deliverable completion and sign-off, progress against key milestones, and the incorporation of quality-related feedback from the business.
  • Track and follow-up on identified risks, owners, and plans to mitigate.
  • Assist in prioritization of actions, stakeholder outreach, & design work product reviews.
  • Manage key communications and ERP Project status updates across all levels of the organization to drive impactful internal and external messaging and content.
  • Help establish success measures for IT projects using metrics that include key performance indicators (KPIs), benefits targets, and strict tollgate approvals between project phases.
  • Build standard cadence to update corporate and business leadership on program status, including risks, milestones, and budget.

Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science.
  • 5 years of project management experience project managing complex & cross-functional IT projects.
  • PMP Certification a plus.
  • Successful completion of multiple full lifecycle ERP implementations.
  • Experience with ERP implementation methodologies specific to SAP and Oracle applications a plus.
  • Proven track record of interfacing with 3 rd party project managers and key vendors.
  • Knowledge of process improvement and transformation approaches, including change management, process/value stream mapping, and technology transformation
  • Experience in either business analyst or business relationship management role, with a focus on Finance and/or HR applications is a plus.
  • Very strong communication and customer oriented interpersonal skills. Communicates effectively in numerous channels (formal and ad hoc meetings, email, other collaboration tools)
