Responsibilities
- Develop the full scope of a project in collaboration with the operational, technical and compliance teams, and drive projects from concept to completion
- Maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute projects across multiple sites, with travel as required
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental and safety regulations
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to deliver project objectives
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to senior management
- Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement
- Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards
- Coordinate and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits
- Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment allocation, and workforce scheduling
- Implement and enforce site safety protocols and environmental management plans
- Resolve on-site technical issues and conflicts as they arise
The Person
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related technical field (desirable)
- Attained or working towards, PRINCE2 or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
Skills
- Suitable project management skills, including risk management and stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Broad technical knowledge and construction management
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience
- Project management experience
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within budget and timeline.
- Experience in the delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to the construction phase, with an awareness of process safety.
