An opportunity to join a leading building services and offsite engineering specialist delivering complex mechanical and energy projects across the UK and Europe.

This is a senior role for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership of technically demanding projects - from early planning through installation, commissioning, and handover.
The Role

You'll lead the delivery of mechanical projects within a fast-paced, engineering-led environment. Working across design, procurement, supply chain, and site teams, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining high technical and quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing end-to-end delivery of mechanical engineering projects
  • Developing and controlling project scope, programme, and cost
  • Providing technical oversight on mechanical systems, plant, and MEP installations
  • Leading procurement, subcontractor coordination, and supplier performance
  • Overseeing site works to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality requirements
  • Identifying and mitigating programme, cost, and technical risks
  • Driving collaboration across design, commercial, and operational teams
What We're Looking For
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years' experience managing mechanical or MEP projects in industrial, manufacturing, or building services environments
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, plant, and utilities
  • Proven experience with procurement, subcontractors, and contract management
  • Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident using CAD and project controls tools (e.g. AutoCAD, MS Project / ASTA)
Nice to Have
  • Experience in offsite MEP or prefabricated solutions
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Lean / Six Sigma)
  • Background in energy centres, district heating, or heavy plant environments
Why Join?
  • High-value, technically challenging projects with real autonomy
  • Clear progression within a growing engineering-led organisation
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Early Friday finish and strong work-life balance
  • Modern facilities and a collaborative, supportive culture

If you want, I can:
  • Make this more executive / leadership-focused
  • Rewrite it as a LinkedIn or recruiter advert
  • Tailor it for energy centres, district heating, or offsite manufacture
  • Produce a one-page candidate pitch for agencies
