Within TU/e's Beethoven program, you will work on projects that contribute to our ambition: innovative solutions for major societal challenges and attracting the right students. The program consists of 15 projects, and marketing & communications play a crucial role. As the Communication Expertise Center (CEC), we lead several projects focused on student recruitment and support initiatives related to educational development.
Because our role is broad and involves intensive collaboration with faculties, services, and regional and national partners, we are looking for reinforcement in the form of a Project Manager Marketing & Communication.
In this role, you will contribute to the ambition of the Beethoven program to educate top talent and strengthen research across the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

As Project Manager Marketing & Communication, you are the central point for coordinating and monitoring marketing and communication activities within the Beethoven Program. You ensure alignment, progress, and act as a key link between internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description
Your role
As Project Manager Marketing & Communication, you are the central point for coordinating and monitoring marketing and communication activities within the Beethoven Program. You ensure alignment, progress, and act as a key link between internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactive and effective coordination between central and decentralized marketing and communication activities through structured collaboration with faculty colleagues, ensuring alignment and cross-pollination.
- Monitoring progress and safeguarding the PDCA cycle in close collaboration with the Head of Education Marketing and the Marketing Intelligence Analyst.
- Ensure clear information sharing and alignment with the central program lead Beethoven, internal stakeholders (operations directors, Education & Student Affairs managers, faculty Beethoven coordinators) and with external stakeholders such as other involved educational institutions.
- Identify additional needs and make adjustments in consultation with project leaders and other stakeholders.
- Provide semi-annual progress presentations to the boards of the involved faculties and give regular updates on the progress within the Beethoven program to all marketing & communication colleagues during the weekly meeting.
- Actively contributing to the success of projects focused on student recruitment and educational development.
Job Requirements
Your profile
We are looking for a proactive and connecting project manager who thrives on complex collaborations and delivering impactful communication projects.
What you bring:
- You are an experienced project manager who enjoys delivering complex projects in a dynamic environment.
- You are results-oriented, maintain oversight, and know how to set priorities-even under time pressure.
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as marketing, communication, or business administration.
- You have at least 5 years of experience leading multidisciplinary projects, preferably in a knowledge-intensive or innovative context.
- You are a strong organizer and connector: you easily engage with different stakeholders and create buy-in.
- You have excellent communication skills and can convey complex information clearly and convincingly.
- You are familiar with project management methodologies and apply them pragmatically.
- You have a proactive attitude, think in solutions, and are confident in decision-making.
- You have excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Conditions of Employment

- A one-year appointment with the possibility of extension for a total duration of up to 48 months within the Beethoven project.
- A monthly salary of minimum €3.708,- to €6.433,- for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 10-11 collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities).
- In addition to vacation pay, a structural end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
