Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead and manage a team of medical device/combination product project managers.
- Define and develop the strategic direction of the group and drive operational excellence in line with Sandoz Global Development vision and strategy.
- Develop and monitor resource plans and budgets across internal and externally partnered Speciality Gx and Biosimilar platform projects.
- Provide scientific/technical expertise, leadership, and direction to address complex R&D topics.
- Build, manage, and maintain professional relationships with external suppliers and stakeholders.
- Ensure the effective use of resources within the team to deliver on company objectives in line with project plans and timelines.
- Leads the planning for early-stage Speciality Gx and Biosimilar platforms pipelines.
- Leads the resource planning process with SDDC, working with the SDDC management team to ensure the resource needs are understood and can be communicated and planned to meet Sandoz needs.
- Manage a global, diverse group of MDCP Device Project Leads (DPLs).
- Ensure consistency of processes and practises across programs. Work with Design Assurance and other departments to establish processes. Support DPLs as necessary to ensure consistent practise.
- Ensures a good Quality culture, and that all SDDC colleagues contribute to Quality.
- Work with the SDDC LT and the Head of SDDC to ensure smooth running of the entire SDDC organisation.
What you'll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
- Masters, PhD, or university degree in the field of project management, engineering, or other relevant subject.
- Proven track record (10+ years) in development of medical devices and /or combination products within a pharmaceutical, medical devices, and/or combination products setting with significant cross-functional team management responsibilities.
- Extensive technical knowledge of MDCP development processes.
- Proven ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Results orientated, enthusiastic, and driven by excellence.
- Experience of interactions with the FDA and/or other regulatory authorities.
- Extensive market knowledge of the drug delivery industry.
- Strong leadership skills and proven track record in leading a large and/or diverse group of MDCP development designers, engineers, human factors experts, and scientists.
- Experience of working within the ISO13485 medical devices quality framework and in-depth knowledge of GMP, EU, and FDA regulatory requirements.
- A capable public speaker with experience of presentation at major events.
- Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Sandoz products within 24 hours of receipt.
- Financial/budget management.
- Excellent command of English (verbal and written)
