The HR Operations Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of key HR operational projects. This role will focus on process improvement, compliance, digital transformation, and the seamless implementation of HR initiatives across the organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Service Delivery Leadership Team, business partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure the effective management and delivery of projects that support the organisation's strategic objectives. This is a hands on delivery role.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage multiple HR projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Collaborate with HR teams and business stakeholders to identify project requirements and define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress against milestones.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience within HR services.
• Facilitate effective communication between teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Ensure all HR operational projects comply with relevant employment legislation, policies, and best practices.
• Analyse data and metrics to measure project success and identify opportunities for further improvement.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports and updates to stakeholders.
• Support change management activities, including communications, training, and stakeholder engagement.
• Manage risk and resolve issues that may impact project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
• Proven experience in HR operations, project management, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable record of delivering HR projects within a global complex or matrixed environment.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes, employment law, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with HRIS and digital transformation projects is highly desirable.
• Experience of using Workday or similar products is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
• Excellent project management and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels.
• Analytical thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• High degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HR information systems.
