The Role

The Pre-Construction Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping projects before they reach site. You'll lead the planning, design coordination, and commercial strategy to ensure projects are set up for success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the pre-construction phase of office fit-out and refurbishment projects (CAT A & CAT B).
• Lead design development, ensuring client requirements are captured and translated into deliverable solutions.
• Oversee tendering, procurement, and subcontractor engagement.
• Collaborate with estimators, designers, and project managers to produce accurate programmes and budgets.
• Provide technical input and risk management strategies at early stages.
• Build strong client relationships, offering guidance and confidence from concept through to contract award.
• Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations to win new projects and secure client confidence.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety, and sustainability goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in pre-construction within design & build or commercial fit-out.
• Strong understanding of office interiors, design coordination, and procurement processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Relevant certifications (SMSTS, CSCS) advantageous.
