As a Project Manager at Neways, you are responsible for managing complex, multidisciplinary projects with significant customer impact. These projects primarily focus on Defense, with a strong emphasis on large-scale New Product Introductions (NPI), alongside challenging initiatives in the Semiconductor sector.
You hold full accountability for managing multiple complex projects with tactical impact and possess expertise across all IPMA competency areas. From the Control Tower, you take tactical responsibility within one Operating Company (OC) or across one to three OCs. You bring end-to-end experience to the table.
In this key role at Neways NCWS, you combine tactical leadership with strategic decision-making, ensuring that projects are delivered within scope, on time, and within budget.

Additionally, we require:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design) or business administration.
- At least 3-7 years of project management experience in a high-tech or manufacturing environment.
- Tactical leadership of project teams, including change management.
- Strong communication skills, able to engage teams and customers.
- You are a role model and initiator of a new way of working in projects and know how to bring colleagues and the organization along.
- Certified at IPMA C level, with ambition to grow toward IPMA B, or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English; German is a plus.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Project Leadership
- Lead high-tech development and industrialization projects (NPI, from prototype to series production).
- Coordinate all phases: initiation, concept, design, prototyping, and transfer to production.
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and a feasible project plan.
- Monitor planning, budget, resources, and quality objectives.
Technical and Commercial Responsibility
- Basic knowledge of electronic design principles, assembly, and production logistics.
- Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure manufacturability.
- Prepare and monitor a business case.
- Proactively perform risk management (mitigation and proposals).
- Drive benefits within the project scope.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for the customer during the project.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure clear communication and timely escalation of issues.
- Report progress to the Managing Director.
Leadership
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams (Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality).
- Provide tactical leadership for project teams of up to approx. 10 people; able to negotiate constructively.
- Apply IPMA style: facilitating/servant leadership, conflict resolution, coaching.
Process & Methodology
- Apply project management methodologies such as IPMA or comparable frameworks.
- Contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ensure compliance with customer standards (ISO9001, IATF16949, IPC-A-610).
