About us

Our purpose is simple: to save lives at sea. For 200 years, our lifeboat crews and lifeguards have shown selfless courage to rescue those in peril on the water. Behind them is a dedicated, talented team making it all possible. This is your chance to join that team and use your skills to help save lives every day.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the central Portfolio Office team to lead and deliver complex projects in collaboration with highly skilled technical teams. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands technical concepts, and can bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution.

Some of the benefits

  • Salary - £41,242 to £48,520 (dependent on experience)
  • Flexible working
  • 26 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays (pro rata)
  • Competitive pension scheme
  • Life assurance

About the role

As Project Manager, you will ensure that your projects are managed efficiently in accordance with the defined project lifecycle to deliver the benefits.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of projects to the specified quality, ensuring scope, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Work closely with technical teams to translate requirements into actionable plans.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the definition of project benefits, identifying how these will be monitored and measured
About You

You'll be someone who has strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task while remaining calm and professional. You'll have excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve project issues, and you'll have the ability to work with people at all levels and be a team player.

To apply for the role as a Project Manager, you must have an industry recognised Project Management qualification and demonstratable experience in technology-driven environments.

If you have the necessary qualities, skills and experience, and want to be part of a team where your efforts contribute to saving even more lives at sea, then we would love to hear from you.
