Clearsky Technical Project Manager

18 month fixed term contract

Location: Cheltenham, UK

RoleOverview:The ClearSky Technical Delivery Projects Manager is responsible for the technical aspects including scoping, specification, design and delivery of the ClearSky Phase II project which will include leading a cross functional team (Internal & External), project management and delivery of ClearSky II (Delivery of an 11 KV Steamvolt which would include all associated Civil, electrical, mechanical (inc steam) works. It would also entail the delivery of any outstanding ClearSky I (Original Scope & Project) activities including on going snags that are highlighted throughout the period. The role will be responsible for ensuring that the installation meets quality, cost, and delivery objectives while complying with regulatory and internal standards.

Yourobjectives and responsibilities will focus on:Takeownership for the completion of the Clear Sky Phase I project which includes:
Completionof original ClearSky I scope of works:
• ManageH&S activities for Clear Sky project
• Engagingwith UK Supply Maintenance, R&D, CHX, GES and contractors to complete outstanding action
• Budgetprojections for OpEx for UK Supply
• Complete SOPs and other documentation toallow transition of Clear Sky Operatations to UK Supply Maintenance

SteamBattery Fix - Ownership of the project to support the short term andlong-term fix of the SteamBattery (SB)
• Coordinationof activities with CHX to meet request STS timescales
• Manageactivity related to the ongoing operation of SB i.e. rewire
• Managethe planning, delivery, install and commissioning of the new bundle (2026)
• Defineplan for continued operation of SB post failures i.e clear procedures, standby contractors needs, subject matter expert team etc.

ClearSky II
• Scoping- Develop the scope of works of Clear Sky II project with clearmilestones and deliverables
• Specification- Develop the Clear Sky II specificationto include M&E, Steam system, Civils and other associated infrastructure
• Design- Develop system design in conjunctionwith subject matter experts (internal & external).
• Costing& Budgeting- Cost the project with the aim of developingthe CapEx proposal for SEC approval and sign off. Throughout the project- responsibilityof delivering in line with agreed budgets
• Delivery& Commissioning- Successfully deliver the project to agreed timescales and budgets utilisinginternal and external capabilities as per plan.
• Definescope of Pilot testing- Defineand execute a STS lead test plan of the 11KV Steamvolt ensuring the SteamVolt is fit for purpose for the steam

Tobe successful in this role you will...
• Demonstrate Company Core Values at all times

• Engineering Degree or HND or Equivalent Experience
• Design experience of electromechanicalproducts and hardware associated with industrial steam or other fluidapplications.
• Previous leadership of large scale multidiscipline projects
• Previous involvement in product designsthat meet legal compliances for industrial products and equipment, withknowledge of mechanical, electrical, pressure containment or sustainabilitystandards.
• Prior CDM experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solvingcapabilities
• Excellent communication skills forcollaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to present technical informationclearly and concisely
• Proactive and detail-oriented mindsetwith a focus on delivery
• Expertise in the thermal electrificationof steam systems
• Expertise in mechanical industrial steamor other fluid applications with high-pressure or temperature applications
• Good understanding of harmonisedstandards for example e.g PED / ASME
