As a global leader in marine insurance, Gard has recently entered a new strategy period with high ambitions for the future.

We are looking to strengthen our Strategy team with a project manager that can lead strategic projects and initiatives in our work to make the strategy come to life. A key part of this role is to contribute to modernising our approach to project management in our transition towards more agile ways of working. This will ultimately help us deliver even more value to our clients.

The role is a part of the Strategy team in our head office in Arendal, and will report to our Head of Strategy. The Strategy team supports the global Gard organisation in developing and realising strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects/initiatives
• Play a key role in modernising our approach to project management
• Contribute to developing our team and the Gard organisation

We are looking for you to have:

• Expertise in agile principles applied to project and development work
• Experience with different project management methodologies
• Strong core skills in teamwork, problem solving, workshop facilitation, analysis work, stakeholder management and communication
• A track record for delivering high quality work
• Relevant higher degree

Beneficial, but not a requirement:

• Knowledge/experience with strategy development and deployment, portfolio management, lean, innovation methodology and/or service design
• Understanding of (marine) insurance processes

The seniority of the role will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
