Overall purpose of the Role

The Henry Royce Institute is seeking a project manager to oversee the delivery of a new National Technical Platform for Materials Innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Chief Technology Officer and partners from across the Royce national network to develop a new platform to empower, share expertise and best practice, and break down silos across the Research Technical Professional (RTP) community in materials innovation and associated manufacturing technology. The platform will focus on delivering training, development, and professional networking opportunities across the UK's materials innovation community and in the process increase visibility of RTPs.

Reporting to the Royce Senior Project Manager, the post holder will be directly responsible for planning and ensuring delivery of all project activities, managing the project budget, ensuring adherence to funder requirements, monitoring and reporting on KPIs, contributing to risk management, organising a variety of events and meetings and ensuring appropriate contracting arrangements are in place. They will also be the first point of call for enquiries about the Platform and will be responsible for ensuring excellent internal and external communication. The post holder will be expected to manage their time and prioritise tasks with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of self-motivation.
