What you'll be doing
- Drive the successful delivery of major highways projects from planning through to completion.
- Manage end-to-end project activities, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional engagement and satisfaction.
- Oversee financial performance, meeting profit and margin targets.
- Champion health, safety, and environmental best practices across all project phases.
- A proven leader with experience managing large-scale highways projects.
- Strong people management skills - able to inspire and get the best out of your team.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of highways management, operations, and tender processes.
- Ideally, a Chartered Civil Engineer (desirable but not essential).
- Significant contract management experience in civil engineering or construction.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Confident communicator with strong organisational and writing skills.
- PC literate with MS Office proficiency.
