Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly capable Construction Manager to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, responsible for managing construction activities from groundworks through to handover while ensuring safety, quality, programme, and cost objectives are achieved.

Project Execution & Site Management
  • Overseeing daily site operations from groundworks through to final handover.
  • Ensuring construction milestones and deliverables are achieved in line with approved schedules, budgets, and scope.
  • Overseeing contractor works on site to ensure compliance with project requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinating construction activities with design, planning, procurement, and engineering teams.
  • Managing and directing construction phases in collaboration with consultants, contractors, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Identifying, mitigating, and resolving construction issues impacting programme, cost, or quality.

Programme, Cost & Commercial Management
  • Managing and maintaining project programmes and construction schedules across planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Identifying potential delays or schedule slippage and implementing recovery strategies.
  • Providing input into cost planning, budget control, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Supporting cost and claims management activities including value engineering, bill of quantities, payment applications, variations, and claims assessments.
  • Tracking costs, managing resources efficiently, and preventing waste or delays.

Team Leadership & Resource Management
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and technical advice to site and project teams.
  • Managing subcontractors, trades, and site operatives to ensure effective performance.
  • Ensuring adequate staffing and resources are available to deliver all scoped services.
  • Conducting daily briefings, coordination meetings, and toolbox talks.
  • Promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and respect on site.

Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Monitoring workmanship to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and approved materials.
  • Ensuring compliance with local building regulations, project standards, and company procedures.
  • Leading snagging, defect rectification, and handover processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal company processes and procedures.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
  • Enforcing site health and safety protocols in line with divisional and project HSE policies.
  • Conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Ensuring all personnel are trained, inducted, and equipped appropriately.
  • Maintaining accurate safety records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, consultants, inspectors, and authorities.
  • Liaising regularly with project stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and expectations are managed.
  • Providing clear progress updates and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Representing the company positively and professionally on site at all times.

Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintaining accurate site diaries, progress reports, schedules, and compliance records.
  • Preparing internal and external reports in line with project and company requirements.
  • Providing regular updates on programme, cost, quality, and risk to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 15 years' career experience partnered with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
