About the role

We are seeking two (2) Project Managers to join the UCL Centre for International Medical Education Collaborations (CIMEC). These roles are essential to expanding our capacity for knowledge transfer with national and international partners. The successful candidates will ensure the delivery of timely, high-quality support for our global portfolio, which currently includes new university programmes across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

The UCL CIMEC Project Manager will:
  • Provide proactive leadership and project management expertise.
  • Ensure robust delivery of projects and associated activities.
  • Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including international partners and collaborators.
  • Consider and measure how projects should proceed to achieve the desired quality for deliverables taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Be responsible for effective management of project risks and compliance.
  • Utilise creative problem-solving skills and quickly develop an understanding of the wider project context.
  • Collaborate with the wider UCL CIMEC and UCL delivery teams. Lead and/or participate in multi-projects.
  • Work closely with UCL CIMEC colleagues to ensure effective planning and management of project activities.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality project outputs.
Appointment details:
  • The post is grade 7, the annual salary for which ranges from £43,981 to £52,586 (including London Allowance).
  • We currently have two Project Manager vacancies available, offered on a three-year fixed-term contract (in the first instance).
  • This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% on site. The CIMEC team is expected to attend to meetings in person on Tuesdays, Thursdays and additional days on demand to align to specific role requirements.

About you

The successful candidate will have relevant equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience and training/development of degree.

The post holder will have proven experience of successfully managing a project through the full life cycle and critical thinking and problem-solving skills to solve challenges proactively and creatively.
