About the role
The University of Staffordshire is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver transformation projects that enhance our systems, processes, and organisational capability. This is a pivotal role where you will manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering measurable impact.
Main Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for our Project Manager will be to:
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Lead digital transformation projects from initiation through to completion, coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver successful outcomes.
• Conduct investigative work to determine business requirements, create functional specifications, and perform options analysis to identify the most effective solutions.
• Manage resources effectively, including team members, budgets, and equipment, resolving conflicts and optimising allocation to achieve project efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate risks, developing proactive strategies to address potential issues and ensuring projects remain on track throughout their lifecycle.
• Oversee all testing phases, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and specifications, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Communicate progress clearly, providing regular updates to stakeholders on milestones, challenges, and achievements, and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Close projects successfully, ensuring all deliverables are completed, documentation is finalised, and lessons learned are captured for continuous improvement
