Role Details:
Head of Project Management
Altrad are currently on the lookout for a Head of Project Management to join the business to lead and govern all Asset Management project management staff and activities.
Key Deliverables:
- To lead and manage all projects across Asset Management to ensure projects are delivered to plan, within budget and meet all project KPIs.
- To govern all projects carried out within Asset Management ensuring compliance with Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
- To actively engage with key stakeholders across the business ensuring that project management team competencies and capabilities remain aligned with company's strategic growth aspirations.
- To deliver continuous improvement and innovation across project delivery activities.
- Working with estimating, purchasing, operations and engineering teams to create detailed project plans
- Manage resources to ensure projects are delivered in line with project milestones, cost targets and client expectations
- Manage and address performance issues with external parties such as subcontractors and suppliers timeously
- Identification and development of individual training plans for project management team to ensure ongoing competency of staff aligned with Asset Management requirements
- Strategic and Operational support to Director of Project Management and Controls
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Monitor performance of all projects to ensure tasks are delivered on time and within approved budgets
- Create operational plans for each project, and monitor and report on progress, financial performance and risk management.
Key Requirements:
- Post secondary diploma in Business, Management or Engineering.
- Degree in Business, Management or Engineering with relevant professional experience (preferable)
- Minimum 10 years proven project management or project leader experience in the power generation industry including thermal, nuclear, renewables, process and oil & gas sectors, leading engineering and manufacturing projects.
- Proven track record of success in managing and delivering manufacturing and engineering projects in the power generation industry
- Detailed understanding of contractual, commercial, safety, technical, quality aspects and their application
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail in all aspects of project management
- Ability to lead and direct diverse teams of employees, subcontractors and customers
- Strong PC skills including intermediate skills in Microsoft Project, Primavera or similar software
- Strong relationship building skills
- Leadership and business management
- Knowledge of QA processes and procedures
