Lakes College is a technical vocational Further Education College delivering education and training to full-time and part-time learners and apprentices to degree level. We have a vibrant campus in West Cumbria with state of the art vocational workshops and resources, including the National College for Nuclear Northern Hub.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced and inspiring teacher to deliver CIPD courses and Project Management qualifications to both adult learners and apprentices .

The ideal candidate will bring:
  • HR expertise with a solid understanding of people management and employment practices.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to teach practical skills and methodologies.
  • A passion for supporting learners to achieve their professional goals.

What you'll teach:
  • CIPD modules such as Organisational Performance and Culture, People Management and Development, Employment Law, and Employee Engagement.
  • Project Management topics including Project Planning, Risk Management, Stakeholder Communication, and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.

Qualifications

Level 5 qualification in a relevant subject essential

5 GCSE's (including Maths & English or equivalent) essential

Relevant degree or equivalent or CIPD qualification desirable

Formal Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed/ PGCE / BA Ed) desirable

Experience

Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of subject area essential

Experience of working within the post 16/HE sector supporting learners essential

Recent and relevant industry experience in sector essential

Experience in post 16 education / training including curriculum design, delivery, assessment and evaluation

Recent relevant teaching experience with good or outstanding observation grades
