    BCA are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Group IT function to help support a Project Manager. This role is ideal for someone with early project management experience or a strong technical background who is looking to take the next step in their career. Working closely with senior management, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of a large BCA project. With a supportive team environment and genuine opportunities for growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist Project Manager in scheduling meetings and preparing agendas/slides for OpCo / Steer Co / Weekly Team calls
    • Support the planning, organisation, and coordination of construction projects from inception through to completion
    • Assist with project programming, documentation, procurement, and progress monitoring
    • Liaise with the business and internal teams to ensure effective communication
    • Recording actions from meetings/calls and sending out
    • Maintain project documentation, including plans, reports/dashboards, RAID logs and change registers.
    • Update dates between DevOps and Planner
    • Track project milestones and deliverables, updating dashboards and reports
    • Coordinate comms across the team(s)
    • Ensure compliance with standards, templates and governance
    • Support the workstream leads on their deliverables - specifically around Change/Training i.e. booking rooms/resources/calls etc

    Key Skills

    • Experience in IT project coordination or a related role (Assistant PM, Supervisor, Trainee PM, Technical Coordinator, etc.)
    • Previous experience of project management and processes
    • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
    • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with clients and site teams
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
    • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
    • Experience of using project planning tools such as MS Project,
    • experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and numeracy, literacy, problem solving and organisational skills are also essential.
    • Clear balance of both technical and engagement skills.
    • Resilient and prepared to support an organisation going through transformational change.
    • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders within technology and business functions.
    • Execution focused to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
    • Wide experience of different cultures and working environments, i.e. UK and Europe.
    • High level of personal ownership and unimpeachable business integrity.
    • A clear ability to translate information into meaningful insights.
    • Preferred experience in a roll that involved close cooperation between IT and the business.
