Your tasks

  • Defining and implementing standardized project management methods, processes, and tools in alignment with central functions
  • Developing and maintaining project documentation and reporting standards
  • Supporting project managers with tools, processes, and best practices
  • Coordinating training, coaching, and mentoring for project teams
  • Introducing and continuously improving project management tools and systems
  • Establishing and evolving project risk management
  • Monitoring project portfolios, resources, budgets, timelines, and quality
  • Providing transparent portfolio reporting for management and stakeholders
  • Supporting project selection and prioritization to align with strategic objectives
  • Analyzing project data to identify improvement opportunities and derive strategic insights
  • Promoting knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and best practices across project teams

Your qualifications

  • Degree in a natural science, engineering, or business administration
  • Project and portfolio management expertise, e.g. certified through PMI (PMP) or IPMA (Level C)
  • In-depth understanding of the defense business, customer needs, and operational interdependencies in project execution and corporate governance
  • Leadership of large and/or international PMO transformation or sub-projects, and/or PMO programs
  • Accountability for planning, execution, achievement of objectives, and driving major decisions
  • Experience working with diverse, cross-functional and multi-site stakeholders
  • Management of interfaces with different and sometimes conflicting interests
  • Ability to make independent agreements and decisions with significant organizational impact
  • Capability to establish binding agreements and decisions (as required)
  • Fluent in German and English
