Senior Project Manager - Permanent Opportunity

As GRAHAM continues to expand across the Midlands, we are seeking an experienced and strategically minded Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of major construction projects throughout the region. This role is suited to a senior professional with a strong background in Residential, Student Accommodation, or Commercial/Office developments, typically ranging from £20M to £100M+.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for project leadership - ensuring operational excellence, driving performance, and maintaining GRAHAM's high standards for safety, quality, client service, and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Leadership & Strategic Oversight
Lead the full lifecycle delivery of major construction projects
Oversee on-site management teams, subcontractors, and project resources
Ensure programmes are developed, monitored, and delivered on schedule
Drive a proactive, collaborative, and high-performing project culture
Lead risk management, mitigation strategies, and critical decision-making
• Compliance, Quality & Safety Governance
Ensure full adherence to GRAHAM's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
Monitor site activities to maintain exemplary workmanship and regulatory compliance
Champion continuous improvement and implement best practice construction methodologies
• Commercial & Programme Management
Track progress against programme, cost plans, and performance targets
Support procurement strategy and commercial control in partnership with commercial teams
Review subcontractor progress, addressing performance issues where required
Provide data-driven reports and strategic updates to senior leadership
• Client, Stakeholder & Design Team Engagement
Act as a central point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams
Lead meetings, progress reviews, and key project communications
Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships
Identify opportunities for added value, innovation, and improved delivery outcomes
Essential Criteria
Proven Senior Project Manager experience on large-scale construction projects
Demonstrable leadership in Residential, Student Accommodation, or Commercial builds
Strong understanding of construction processes, legislation, and compliance
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Proficient in programme management and project reporting tools
Clear commitment to health & safety excellence, sustainability, and client satisfaction
Desirable Criteria
Degree in Construction Management or related discipline.
Experience delivering major schemes within the Midlands
Familiarity with digital construction platforms (Asta Powerproject, CDEs)
Experience with Tier 1 contractors or complex multi-disciplinary projects
Knowledge of modern methods of construction (MMC) and sustainable building practices
