At St Monica Trust, we create places where older people can truly flourish: warm, vibrant communities built with care, expertise and heart. With a long-standing reputation for excellence, we are shaping the future of care environments across Bristol.

We're now looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of major construction projects (up to £25m) from first concept through to completion. If you're passionate about building exceptional spaces that improve lives, and you thrive in a purpose-driven organisation, this could be your next meaningful step.

The Role

As our Project Manager, you'll take ownership of complex construction programmes across all RIBA stages, ensuring projects are planned brilliantly, procured effectively and delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety and value for money.

You will:
  • Lead and manage major construction projects from feasibility to handover
  • Develop project briefs into robust, deliverable programmes
  • Oversee construction delivery, monitoring milestones and addressing risks proactively
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Manage budgets, timelines and compliance requirements
  • Prepare clear project reports, development appraisals and business cases
  • Ensure adherence to planning, building regulations, H&S and environmental standards
  • Foster strong communication across teams and partners

About You

A blend of technical capability and a collaborative, people-centred mindset is key to this role. Key skills include:
  • Experience leading large-scale construction projects (£20m+) from inception to completion
  • Strong working knowledge of RIBA stages, construction processes, design coordination and compliance
  • Skilled in JCT/NEC contract administration, procurement and performance management
  • Excellent programme management, able to identify risks, resolve delays and drive delivery
  • Confident communicator and stakeholder manager, able to negotiate, influence and build strong relationships
  • Ability to bring innovation to design, delivery or operational outcomes, with experience engaging local authorities and community stakeholders

What We're Looking For

We value warmth, integrity and collaboration. You'll be someone who:
  • Communicates openly, clearly and with empathy
  • Analyses complex information and makes sound decisions
  • Plans and organises interlinked project activities with confidence
  • Understands the importance of environments for older people and those living with dementia
  • Leads with engagement, coaching and support
  • Embeds our values of inclusion, respect and wellbeing in everything you do

Why St Monica Trust?

Working here means being part of a charity with a deep commitment to people, our residents, our colleagues and our communities. We invest in creating exceptional places to live and work, and you'll play a central role in shaping the next chapter of our development.

This is a chance to see the real impact of your work every day, knowing that the spaces you help create will enrich lives for generations.
