Your Next Big Step Starts Here

CBO Projects is growing its Project Services team, and we're looking for talented and motivated Project Managers to join us. Whether you're establishing your consulting career or already leading delivery across complex change programmes, we want to hear from you.

You'll work with clients across the Channel Islands and beyond, in sectors such as financial services, legal, public sector, and retail industries, helping to deliver outcomes that matter. From system implementations to organisation-wide transformations, this role offers variety, challenge, and meaningful impact.

This role is designed to provide a strong foundation for emerging consultants and exciting challenges for those with more experience.

What the Role Involves

As a Project Manager at CBO, you will play a central role in the successful delivery of change. Depending on your experience, you'll either lead or support projects across a range of engagements. You'll be part of a high-performing team that values structure, quality, and trust - delivering work that makes a difference to clients and communities.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading or contributing to complex, business-critical projects from scoping through to delivery.
  • Managing delivery plans, risks, budgets, and governance to keep projects controlled and on track.
  • Working closely with clients to understand their goals, navigate ambiguity, and shape the most effective path forward.
  • Collaborating with business, technology, and operational stakeholders across diverse teams and sectors.
  • Applying structured methodologies to deliver change that is proportionate, scalable, and outcome-focused.
  • Contributing to internal project delivery improvements, including the evolution of our frameworks and tools.

You'll also have opportunities to:
  • Participate in internal knowledge-sharing, training, and mentoring activities.
  • Join a growing community of project professionals committed to continuous learning and best practice delivery.

If you join as a more experienced Project Manager, your work may also include:
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and delivery teams.
  • Shaping delivery strategies and scoping projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams, including business analysts, developers, testers, and client SMEs.
  • Managing end-to-end delivery for large-scale transformations, including technology, regulatory, and organisational change.
  • Supporting business development and contributing to the growth of our Project Services practice.
  • Mentoring junior colleagues and sharing your expertise across CBO.

Requirements

We're open to a range of backgrounds but especially want to hear from individuals who:
  • Have experience delivering projects using structured methods such as APM, PRINCE2, or PMP.
  • Are comfortable working in consulting or client-facing environments, or are keen to grow in that direction.
  • Have led or supported projects involving system change, digital delivery, regulation, or business transformation.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, with a natural ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Enjoy balancing structure with flexibility and can adapt quickly to different client contexts.
  • Take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes and solving real-world problems.

If you're an experienced professional, you should also have:
  • A strong track record of leading full-lifecycle projects.
  • Confidence in managing delivery complexity, across people, technology, and process.
  • The ability to work independently and lead others with credibility and empathy.

All candidates must have a UK right to work and connections to Guernsey or Jersey
