About the Role

This role is ideal for an experienced Project Manager with strong Phase I expertise, a deep understanding of end-to-end clinical trial delivery, and the ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams. You will act as a trusted partner to clients, driving operational excellence while exemplifying ICON's values.

About the Role

This role is ideal for an experienced Project Manager with strong Phase I expertise, a deep understanding of end-to-end clinical trial delivery, and the ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams. You will act as a trusted partner to clients, driving operational excellence while exemplifying ICON's values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Phase I clinical trials, from proposal development through study close-out and TMF return
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong partnerships to ensure high-quality delivery and repeat business
- Develop, maintain, and execute cross-functional project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Proactively manage project risks, issues, budgets, and contractual obligations, including scope changes and financial oversight
- Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with ICON SOPs, contractual requirements, and applicable clinical trial regulations and standards
- Monitor, track, and report project progress, quality, and financials to internal and external stakeholders
- Support business development activities, including proposal development, bid defenses, and execution of change order
- Travel approximately 25%, domestically and/or internationally
The ideal candidate:
- 3-5 years' Project Management experience, with clinical trial delivery and Phase I exposure
- Experience in a CRO or public/hospital research setting; Early Phase/Phase I preferred
- End-to-end project management from proposal and bid defense through study close-out and TMF return
- Knowledge of ICON Phase I offerings and ability to articulate value to clients
- Strong understanding of clinical trial regulations, standards, and legislation
- Degree in Life Sciences or related discipline
- Customer-focused, with ability to build strong sponsor and stakeholder relationships
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, including Clinical and Medical functions
