We have an excellent opportunity for a Head of Beverage Procurement to join the team as the Ivy brand continues to grow.
The Head of Beverage Procurement role exists to manage the Group's beverage cost base by supporting the development of best practice procurement negotiating favourable terms, conditions and pricing monitoring supplier technical and legal compliance, market trends and their effect on the business contributing to the financial wellness of the wider business through implementation of a Group Procurement Policy which seeks to reduce cost without sacrificing quality and ethical standards.

The Head of Beverage Procurement role exists to manage the Group's beverage cost base by supporting the development of best practice procurement negotiating favourable terms, conditions and pricing monitoring supplier technical and legal compliance, market trends and their effect on the business contributing to the financial wellness of the wider business through implementation of a Group Procurement Policy which seeks to reduce cost without sacrificing quality and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Category management of beverages for all Group restaurants and Clubs as directed by the Procurement Director
- Development of the Group's procurement income stream through listing fees and collection of achieved savings via retrospective discounting and support funds
- Deliver all supplier partner cost & contract negotiations through tothe implementation stage
- Supplier partner cost management using industry standard tools - e.g., e-sourcing / tendering, auction and contract management
- Supplier partner and product consolidation in line with the agreed Group strategy
- Administer a program of due diligence monitoring
- Drive the Group's environmental standards and ethical procedures throughout the procurement process
- Use the Group's procurement systems to ensure price and invoice accuracy - focus on keeping processes simple
- Support the delivery of restaurant budgets at OP level
- Adopt best practices to reduce overheads and achieve efficiencies
- Implement and maintain best practice procurement and stock management principles.
- Delivery of ad-hoc projects as requested by the Group Procurement Director
Skills & Attributes that are Essential for the role:
- Skilful in handling all stakeholder groups and creating networks
- Excellent knowledge of beverage and hospitality / retail category management
- Experience of fast-paced/rapid growth multi-site working environments
- Robust, fact-based negotiation style
- Demonstrable track record of delivering real savings
- Cross-category experience
- A self-starter - able to demonstrate past experience of identifying and delivering business change and cost savings
- Gravitas and presence to influence key business stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Tenacity and clarity of purpose are required for handling change management situations
- Experience in business data management and reporting, systems integration and project management
