Expleo is seeking a talented Project Manager with a strong finance background, ideally with consulting experience, to join our team and play a key role in an exciting new programme to establish a retail bank from the ground up. This is a highly visible, client-facing role lead a finance-led transformation within a regulated environment.
You will work closely with senior client stakeholders, internal delivery teams, and third-party partners to deliver end-to-end change, ensuring business and financial operations are fully prepared for go-live for the new retail bank.

This is a highly visible, client-facing role lead a finance-led transformation within a regulated environment.
You will work closely with senior client stakeholders, internal delivery teams, and third-party partners to deliver end-to-end change, ensuring business and financial operations are fully prepared for go-live for the new retail bank.
Responsibilities
- Project Manage the delivery of a greenfield retail bank setup programme, with responsibility for establishing robust financial operations.
- Ensure full finance operational readiness for new entity go-live, including:
- Accounts receivable and payable
- Financial controlling and accounting
- Treasury, tax, VAT, and financial modelling
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with overall programme objectives.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies.
- Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
- Ensure all deliverables meet the required quality standards.
- Work closely with existing finance teams, extending and enabling their capabilities to support the new retail bank entity, ensuring appropriate processes, controls, and reporting are in place.
- Collaborate with third-party suppliers to agree financial processes, requirements, and data transfer arrangements.
- Provide strong stakeholder management, guiding finance and business colleagues through organisational and process change
Qualifications
- Desirable Certifications: Financial qualification, MAPM, Scrum Master, PMP, Prince2
Essential skills
- Strong understanding of the finance operating model within a large corporate
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Strong understanding of Waterfall methodologies
- Experience of working as part of a team in large deployments
- People management skills - the ability to lead and focus teams in complex projects
- Desire to continue to build domain knowledge- process, tools, applications, platforms
- Microsoft Project
Experience
- Experience of leading large scale financial change projects
- Experience leading Waterfall projects
- Experience within the automotive industry is desirable but not essential
- Experience of setting up a retail bank is desirable but not essential
What do I need before I apply
- The expectation is that you will be able to work on client site in Buckinghamshire 1-2 days per week or as the programme requires.
- Fluency in English is required to effectively communicate with clients.
