Salary: £56,000-£87,000
Location: Palestra & Hybrid Working
Contract Type: TfL - Permanent
The Role
The Client Interface Project Manager is responsible for delivering small-works construction, refurbishment, and reconfiguration projects across the TfL Head Office estate and, where required, R&U Operational sites. These projects typically run under three months and range in value from £20k to £1m.
You will work within the Moves Team, delivering demand-led projects driven by the Accommodation Change Request (ACR) process, supporting relocation activities, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across building services, systems, and fabric.

What you'll be doing
- Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned projects from initiation through to handover and close-out, in line with TfL project management methodology.
- Provide project support and assurance to Moves Coordinators when required.
- Establish, motivate, and manage project and design teams, ensuring cost-effective, timely, high-quality project execution.
- Plan, resource, and coordinate inputs across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring requirements are clear, agreed, and communicated.
- Ensure all project activities meet TfL standards relating to design, procurement, risk management, and construction processes.
- Negotiate, procure, and authorise contracts, variations, and payments within delegated authority levels.
- Oversee preparation and coordination of the Health & Safety File, statutory approvals, and required training.
- Provide timely, accurate project information for reporting and governance.
- Coordinate work with P&A Teams, Facilities Operations, and Group Procurement.
- Develop and maintain project plans, resource schedules, and cost management tools.
- Manage financial performance, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets and reporting against KPIs.
- Facilitate risk workshops and develop risk registers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support procurement activity in line with TfL Commercial Services processes, including contractor and consultant appointments.

Knowledge
- Membership (ideally) of RICS, CIOB, APM or equivalent professional body.
- Degree-level education in a construction-related discipline OR significant proven project management experience.
- Strong understanding of contracts, procurement processes, financial control, and risk management.
- Knowledge of project planning methodologies and tools.
- Awareness of safety considerations in an operational railway environment (desirable).
Experience
- Significant experience managing projects valued up to at least £100k in complex, safety-critical, regulated organisations.
- Experience delivering projects within occupied buildings.
- Proven experience managing project finances, programme assurance, and control.
- Experience managing contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Experience leading teams and building relationships across a wide stakeholder base.
- Experience in construction or engineering environments (essential).
- Familiarity with R&U processes and procedures (desirable).
